Terms Of Business

"Company" - Harley James Cleaners
"Client" - the person(s) the cleaner is supplied to
"Cleaner" - the worker introduced to the client

Harley James Cleaners acts as an introduction agency between clients and cleaners for a fee of £2.50 per hour (customer supplies products), should you want Harley James Cleaners to supply the cleaning products, please add an extra £2 per hour. (please note we do not supply vacuum cleaners or mops). The client agrees to pay the Cleaner direct at a rate of £7 per hour. The Cleaner will be self employed and will not be employed by Harley James Cleaners. Payment is made by standing order to the agency at the end of each week or fortnight . A minimum of 3 hours per visit applies. The client agrees to set up the standing order to pay the Company fees before the introduced cleaner commences their first day of work.

Harley James will carry out thorough reference checks on all cleaners introduced to the client and interview all cleaners they introduce. Written references will also be obtained and can be requested by the client. The company shall ensure that all introduced cleaners are competent and reliable workers, the company takes no responsibility should any failure occur due to the selection process. The company will replace any cleaners that are not satisfactory, fall ill, go on holiday or leave for any other reason. At the earliest opportunity a free of charge replacement cleaner will be provided, the client will not incur any further costs.

Where applicable the client will be responsible for supplying all cleaning materials unless HJ Cleaners are supplying the cleaning products and materials. These materials and accessories must be available for the cleaner at the time they commence work. Bleach is a banned substance and cannot be used, spills will not be covered.
 
The client agrees that after termination of contract, the client will not hire any cleaner that has been introduced by Harley James Cleaners for a period of 12 months. If the client hires such a cleaner, the client will be responsible for a £500 referral fee payable to Harley James Cleaners. Monies will be collected for non payment of service. Harley James Cleaners may use a debt collection agency or county court to recover monies owed. The client agrees to pay all fees and interest associated with the recovery of monies.

Whilst every effort is made by Harley James to give satisfaction to the Client by ensuring reasonable standards of skills, integrity and reliability from the Cleaner and further to provide them in accordance with the Client’s booking details, the Employment Business is not liable for any error, act, omission, loss, expense, damage or delay arising from the failure to provide any Cleaner for all or part of the period of booking or from the negligence, dishonesty, misconduct or lack of skill of the Cleaner. The client agrees to be responsible for all liabilities, acts, errors or omissions of Cleaner, whether wilful, negligent or otherwise as though the Cleaner was on payroll of the client.
Law
These Terms of Business are governed by UK and English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK and English courts.
